Underwater photography is one of the most popular diving specialties, and the advanced development of digital underwater photography has made it easier and more fun than ever before.

Today Digital underwater photography has come a long way with higher definition, more secure housings and pre-set lighting adjustments even the absolute novice diver can snap off that award winning shot. In addition to being able to show your friends and family pictures of your favourite dives in Tenerife, you will also learn some fundamental buoyancy control during your dives to enable you to take that perfect photo.

The Dive Gear You Use

You use all the same basic scuba gear you would use for the diving environment as well as a digital underwater camera which we provide.

The Learning Materials You Will Receive

You can avoid the frustration of learning underwater photography through trial and error. The PADI Digital Underwater Photography Manual shortens the learning curve with tips and hints from the professionals. This is included in your course.

Topics covered include:

  • Basic underwater photography tips
  • Strobe diagrams for a variety of effects
  • Tips for eliminating backscatter
  • An explanation of the various digital file formats and software
  • How to create the best settings to put back colour in your images

The crew pack includes the PADI Digital Underwater Photographer Manual and submersible white balance slate. The course materials preview skills you’ll practice with your diving instructor. Once the course is over, use your manual as a reference guide as you explore new environments and to evolve your diving skills.

To enrol, you must:

  • Have a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver certification (or have a qualifying certification from another organization)
  • Be over 12 years old.

Path to Master Scuba Diver

If you have already completed the PADI Open Water course then you are no doubt eager to learn more. Continuing your diver education cannot be more beneficial to you as a diver.

It should be the goal of every diver to pursue the status of Master Scuba Diver. Continue your diver education up to Rescue diver and complete 5 PADI specialties of your choice to receive your MASTER SCUBA DIVER status.
